If you've been targeted by a scam: SC&MS is a research framework. We cannot investigate cases, recover funds, or provide legal advice. Our resources page lists the numbers to call and the places to report, including what to do first if money just moved.

Official channels

SC&MS has one website (scams.dev) and one GitHub organization (github.com/scams-framework). Email from us comes from a scams.dev address, or from Buttondown for the newsletter. Anything else claiming to represent SC&MS is not us. No one will ever contact you on our behalf about recovering money.

Contributing

SC&MS is published on GitHub. If you spot an error, a GitHub issue is the best way to report it. The taxonomy is not currently accepting outside contributions; it is maintained by a single author while the framework matures. Suggestions filed as issues are read and considered for future versions.
